Starting out as a small group of people running the collective out of a private backyard, BWC quickly evolved into a thriving community boasting hundreds of members. Bursting at the seams, the store moved to the Brown Hill Cricket Club before making its final move to a wonderful permanent home in Barkly Square in Ballarat East.
Ballarat Wholefoods Collective exists and thrives due to the passion and commitment of its community members and their drive to champion produce from local, ethically-minded makers and farmers. Operating as a collective, it relies on its members and their contribution to sustain its ever growing upkeep. Membership has continued to grow and create a vibrant community with a passion for seasonal, local, ethical, and organic whole foods.
