Hi Everyone,
Welcome to all our new members. We hope you have been enjoying your shopping with us.
School holidays:
School holidays, which means a break for all of our volunteers. I would just like to say a thank you to all of you, we would have at least 10 volunteers each week to help with setting up, cleaning, picking up goods, taking cardboard plastics, helping with new members and visitors showing them how we work. Also for the members that recommend us to their friends, work mates etc. A special mention to Araceli , THANK YOU. Word of mouth is the best way of advertising.
AGM:
We just had our 2020/21 AGM and will be following with the 2021/22 soon so we hope that you can come along and have any input you would like.
New Subcommittee:
We have just formed a new sub committee. This is for our workshops and fundraising. Rhonda, Alison, Cathy, Glenda, Jenny, Cate and Steph thank you. The first workshop will be on the 30th April and it's an Op Shop day. $5 a stall, bring your clothes and sell or come and purchase some bargains. We have up to 10 stalls booked already so please help us to make this a good day by either getting a stall or coming along. It's from 12/2pm.
Workshops:
We will be putting out a list of workshops in May. Very Exciting.
New website and advertising:
Our new website is up and running and we will be adding to it all of the time. Also new postcards for advertising. Thanks to Emma, Pen and Kelsie for your time.
10 year celebration:
We are also making plans for next year being our 10th year anniversary of being open. This is very exciting for all of us. To think we opened with about 20 products and now we would have over 300. The volunteer time is so important for this to all happen. It's always important to understand that we are not a shop and it takes members' volunteer time to run the Ballarat Wholefoods Collective.
Want to volunteer?
There are so many ways to help, even just picking up the broom or wiping benches after you have shopped, taking the washing or containers to clean.
